If you’ve ever looked at the LCD on your expensive, new camera like, “I wish I knew how to use this thing better!”  and you find looking at old photos a rewarding, heart-warming experience, keep reading!

Being self taught is totally possible, but it's a heck of a lot faster (and WAY more fun) learning together with a small group of other Moms on a mission to feel confident and excited about their photos!

So Hi! I'm Lisa!

I am a documentary family photographer who also enjoys helping other moms learn how to better use their cameras and take pictures of their family that they are truly proud of! In this class, you'll not only learn the basics (and technical side) to using your DSLR, but you'll learn creative techniques and how to make a picture tell a story, remind you of a memory and the details of your life you achingly want to be unforgettable.

This is an in-person, live, hands on class held in a cozy home in Alamo, CA. You will not only learn information but also get to use the information during our practice shooting session with me by your side!

WHAT THIS 3 HOUR WORKSHOP IS ALL ABOUT:

» Easy to implement topics such as light, composition, seeing photo opportunities, and discovering the things you want to capture - all things you can do without camera knowledge to improve your photos fast

» Basic Gear - what’s out there, what’s affordable

» Why shoot in manual mode? Brief explanation of the exposure triangle: Shutter, Aperture, ISO

» Overcoming, ‘But my kid won’t let me take their photo!’ Taking candid photos to evoke memories and tell a story.

» Actual shooting practice time and Q & A

» 8 ladies MAX to allow for ample time for me to assist each individual. This class is paired best with your BFF & a good bottle of vino or mimosas!

» FUN! We’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and most importantly, you’ll walk away with a better understanding in how to photograph those everyday memories of your family.

**If this date doesn’t work for you, consider hosting your own workshop with me and earn your seat for free. Email lisa@photographybylisab.com to set it up.**

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME:

» New friendships with other area mommy photography enthusiasts

» Lots of knowledge about cameras, photography, lighting and creative techniques.

» Invitation to private Facebook group for Workshop Attendees for support, questions, tips, weekly challenges & to post photos showing off what you’ve learned!

» Exclusive Invitation to 3 Meet & Greet Photo Walks for Q & A and shooting practice throughout the year

WHAT THIS CLASS ISN’T:

» This workshop is not about the business end of photography or how to start your photography business.

» We will not discuss professional photography vendors for print products.

» This workshop does not cover post-processing techniques. You can add on the Simple Editing video for an intro into editing in Lightroom (a Lightroom Workshop is in the works and will be coming soon!).

» This workshop doesn’t not cover posing or prop/backdrop set ups. I shoot very candid, documentary story-telling images, so that is what’s taught.

WHAT TO BRING:

» Your DSLR Camera (one where you can put in manual mode)

»  Charged battery and any additional lenses for your camera

» Your camera manual

»  A positive attitude
